About us We are The Amazing Support Company. We provide outstanding IT Support AKA outsourced helpdesk to many different small and medium sized businesses in and around London and the Southeast.
We have been doing this for nearly ten years and have built a reputation of providing excellent customer service alongside a COMPLETE understanding of our client’s technology. What does that mean?
It means that we aren’t just ‘server’ or ‘desktop’ people. We are everything people. We support our clients with everything from their iPhone to their Cloud system, from the Small business server to their iPad.
Techies who work for us MUST have a thorough understanding of how all these devices and systems tie together and most important of all must be passionate about getting them working again when they stop talking to each other(whilst at the same time being polite, courteous and above all, amazing!)
We are a small crack team based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire supporting over 400 seats. We are smart, polite and helpful and expect you to be the same. We work standard office hours but some overtime will be available. The role will be mix of telephone and remote support and onsite support so you must have a car and a clean license. As you will be expected to visit client’s sites.
Rate of pay is based on your provable experience and we will ask you to sit both a written and verbal technical test. Please DO NOT apply if you cannot prove the experience that we outline below.
About you It goes without saying that you have to have customer service at the forefront of your very being. If you are techy but not talky then we are afraid this is NOT the job for you.
If, however you can explain Microsoft Exchange Server or RAID5 in one line without making us fall asleep then it sounds like you may be right for the job.
From a technical standpoint we really are looking for experts with a very broad depth of knowledge. A breadth of experience which enables them to support, troubleshoot and implement a complete IT system from planning to sign off. Specifically you must have provable experience in the following areas: • All versions of Small Business Server – if you do not have this, don’t apply. • Hands on experience of setting up, configuring and troubleshooting MS Exchange, Terminal Server, AD and GP. Server Migration experience and particularly swing migration experience would make us smile(LOTS) • Super Human Windows Desktop credentials(MAC OS would be very beneficial) • Networks inside and out. From port forwarding to NAT, vLans to WDS, Multiple WAN’s – impress us until our noses bleed. • Mobile and portable devices and concepts. BES, iPhones/Pads • The obvious bits. AV, Backup and DR. • The ability to remain calm, totally focussed and diligent in your ability to resolve a client’s issue. • Good writing skills and understand that all work that you complete must be entered into our ticketing system • Be happy to deal with the BIG CRAZY stuff as much as the small less crazy stuff • Enjoy working in the office, and out the office. • Love people more than computers
If this sounds like you and you like the sound of us then please send your CV to
