The Amazing Support Company, which was recently known as The PC Surgery was started just under ten years ago by Jamie Claret, the Managing Director. A graduate of Computer Science from Hertfordshire University he had originally studied accountancy. After quickly reason that this wasn't the career path for him he switched courses. Jamie worked for both Tesco.com and a small IT consultancy firm before deciding to start The PC Surgery. He bought some business cards and a screwdriver and started to pick up clients quickly. When the phone calls at work and the client visits every evening became too much he made the leap and decided to run the business full time. In those first few years Jamie built the business with many of the clients that he retains today by sticking to his same core values. Over the last few years the business has gone from strength to strength taking on additional staff, premises and bigger clients. Jamie no longer carries a screw driver and prefers to employ staff who are far cleverer then him and spends his time building the business and meeting new clients. During the last ten years Jamie has grown the business organically and through acquisition. We have just completed our fourth acquisition of clients and have proven yet again how successful we are at this process. Jamie has formulated a smooth painless way for both the client and for the party that is exiting to come on board with as little fuss as possible. Each time the process is completed the consensus among clients is that what should have been a very stressful experience has been extremely pain free and has highlighted areas to be looked at that had gone un noticed for many years. Jamie is always active in looking for new acquisitions or ventures. This year the business changed its name and branding to The Amazing Support Company. It was felt that the original name, The PC Surgery, was not in keeping with the direction the business was taking as everyone thought it was a high street shop that repaired home PC's.
